  • A New Beginning

    From the very early stages of planning …fyi knew that the Barclaycard British Summertime Festival was going to be special, working alongside organisers AEG, …fyi were delighted to be a part of it!

    Being a brand new festival …fyi were on hand from conception through completion designing and creating a relaxing enjoyable space complete with catering and gin tastings.

    Providing catering, dressing room riders and event design plus of course Keith Richards’ ritualistic Shepherds Pie – we just hope the public had such fun and enjoyed the great atmosphere as we did! – ‘Rock and Roll’ on next Summer!

  • Maybe it's Maybelline

    It’s not just the make-up we love, working alongside Maybelline …fyi are always given the opportunity to be our creative selves.

    Launching their new mascara, Maybelline entertained guests with a fabulous fashion show complete with a bespoke range of fresh and healthy canapés with a selection of sweet treats to match the theme.
    Working again alongside Maybelline for their Press Day Media Showcase in Shanghai …fyi created food and stunning floral arrangements perfectly matched to Maybelline’s brand identity.

    Guests received flight ticket inspired invitations and were asked to ‘check in’ prior to enjoying cocktails in the waiting lounge.

  • Blue, Red, Yellow and Green

    An internationally recognised company across the globe – Google are known not just for their search engines that we can’t remember a life without, but also for their events held across the world. GIG…fyi are honoured to have worked with Google in both the UK and China at their Big Tent Event and Press Conferences.
    GIG…fyi ensured that Google was centre stage and left no doubt as to whose event it was… Google colours were everywhere – from the cupcakes to the cocktails and the candy bars. Interactive food and drink stations ensured the delegates were kept well fed and entertained whilst enjoying themselves.

  • An Olympic Summer...Round 2

    The Olympic Park holds great memories for …fyi and GIG – following on from London 2012 and now Summer 2013.

    5 events, 20 show days and over 300,000 spectators.

    …fyi were on site from May until July to provide VIP & guest catering in the Live Nation Experience Area at Hard Rock Calling, Wireless Festival, GoLocal & Electric Daisy Carnival.

    Providing an exclusive bar and buffet area with a wide variety of delicious food for guests to enjoy and soak up the atmosphere.

  • Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend

    Mark Ronson, tents sourced from Cirque du Soleil, a Bedouin village, BBQ’s, a hog roast, champagne, three course dinner and a full English breakfast the next day plus a fly over – what more could a 21st Birthday have or want?!

    With main stages and headliners …fyi worked alongside EMC to ensure the food on offer was fit for a princess and 500 guests!

    …fyi designed a menu tailored to the event that reflected the theme and atmosphere of the night – the enticing and beautiful Moulin Rouge… Even once the main event was over …fyi remained on hand to cook and serve breakfast to 100 well rested revellers!

  • An NTA to Remember

    Red Carpet glamour, awards and celebrations, and most of the nations most treasured stars could only be one night of the year – the National Television Awards.

    …fyi have worked on the NTA’s for the past 12 years and love every moment of it. The green room and the presenters, press room and the winners to the pre-show and after-party.

    2013 was certainly no different with the NTA’s turning 18! …fyi turned food and hospitality into an art form helping create the glittering after party with a beautiful handmade three tier cake, canapés to tantalise and most importantly champagne flowing.

  • DS Launch

    In 2012 Citroën took their newest model of the DS to Beijing, China. The launch event took place in an old water tower that had been revamped in the Art District of Beijing, a spectacular setting for the 600 attendees.
    …fyi were on-site to provide catering and hospitality services for the 600 guests who were served a fabulous 4 course dinner following their champagne reception. The dinner consisted of the finest French cuisine produced by our army of 25 chefs, served by over 120 front of house and service staff, conducted by our French maestro Felix Zafra.

    MSF Xmas Party

    GIG…fyi joined forces with a number of suppliers this Xmas to bring some festive cheer to the staff of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). This was our second year appointed by long-standing client Proper Productions to support MSF’s Christmas Party. GIG…fyi donated furniture, drinks, glasses and pie & mash for 130 staff who provide assistance across the globe to people in need. We’re delighted to have been involved with this event for another year and show our appreciation to such a worthy charity.

    Sennheiser Celebrate!

    Shaping the future of audio, based on their heritage, innovation culture & passion for excellence, it was time for Sennheiser to celebrate their 70th anniversary & 25th UK anniversary this year, which sounded top-notch to us! This was no ordinary celebration, GIG…fyi were brought in to One Marylebone, London to totally surprise 300 guests who were unaware of what the night entailed! With a drinks reception, canapés and a swanky 3 course dinner, GIG…fyi and Sennheiser really did leave all guests wowed!

    ASOS Summer Party

    When the British online fashion retailer ASOS got in touch with fabulous ideas for their summer party, GIG…fyi jumped at the chance to get involved! Providing event and catering services to 1,400 guests at the Lightbox London, the GIG…fyi team were on hand serving delicious sliders, fish & chips and macaroni cheese from four identical food stations. Guests were also treated to a fully serviced pick & mix and popcorn station, a live sushi station and an all-inclusive bar!

    In-House Caterers

    GIG’s relationship with the Eventim Apollo reached new heights as GIG…fyi became in-house caterers at the venue! Since its refurbishment, the corporate side of the business has seen a substantial growth opportunity. With GIG’s 31 year history with the venue, we jumped at the chance to be part of its corporate launch this year. Heiko, Deputy General Manager noted, “With GIG as an accredited catering partner we’re confident to have a knowledgeable & flexible partner by our side”.

    Fusion Festival

    As the line-up was announced featuring the likes of Ed Sheeran, McBusted, The Vamps and Rudimental, it was that time of year again for GIG…fyi to head back to Birmingham to spend another action-packed weekend at Fusion Festival. From the VIP areas, to crew and artist catering, GIG…fyi had it covered, serving a total of 3,000 meals over the weekend. With revolving dancefloors, Mocktail bars and enough artists to keep everyone happy, Fusion really is one we look forward to in the GIG…fyi calendar.

    BST Hyde Park

    Year in, year out, as Sunny June comes around, Hyde Park see’s the British Summer Time Festival come to town with some of the biggest names in music hitting the stage! This year Operations Manager Katy Turner & an experienced team returned to London, providing artist and dressing room catering for the stars. GIG…fyi were onsite for two weeks throughout the load in, show days and load out, serving up to 500 meals on average per day. We’re looking forward to the 2016 line-up, see you next year BST!

    Renault Summer Party

    Set within 95 acres, Phasels Wood Activity Centre played host to leading car manufacture Renault’s Summer Party this year & it was GIG…fyi who were onsite to cook up a storm on the Barbie! GIG…fyi provided catering services for over 700 guests, serving fresh & tasty BBQ favourites including chicken skewers, homemade beef burgers and country pork & apple sausages. Two ice-cream vans were brought in to keep the kiddies (and some adults) happy, as families and employees enjoyed the hospitality.

    GIG…fyi continuously strive to deliver a first class service, & that’s exactly what was done at Sony’s PlayStation event that took place in London’s B1 Location House in April. GIG…fyi were on site to provide tasty home classics to 110 guests which included all-time favourites Mac & Cheese, Sausage & Mash, and Steak & Ale Pie followed by irresistible Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Ice Cream, which went down a treat! It was a pleasure to cater Playstation’s event & we hope we’ll cross paths again in the future!

    RBS 6 Nations

    GIG…fyi spent their Valentines Day down at Twickenham this year, providing rugby ball-shaped pasties for O2 priority customers at RBS 6 Nations! We’re all looking forward to heading back down there to do it all again throughout March at the England v Scotland and England v France matches!

    GIG…fyi were rubbing shoulders with the stars of the TV world in January, providing mouth-watering food & drinks for hundreds of celebrities attending the NTA’s! …fyi have been supporting Indigo at the NTA’s for the past 12 years & 2015 was no different. Millions of viewers tuned in to the awards whilst …fyi made sure press, crew and public guests felt like stars! They also served 600 VIP guests who attended the pre-show reception & a further 800 guests who attended the all-glam after-show party. Roll on 2016.

    MSF Ebola Crisis

    Médecins Sans Frontiéres/Doctors Without Borders is a worldwide movement, most recently providing emergency health care to those impacted by the ebola crisis. Christmas 2014, GIG…fyi volunteered catering services for 120 members of staff  to ensure those that dedicate their own time to others, could have a christmas celebration to remember. GIG served West African specialities that had become their away-from-home comforts during their aid work in West Africa.

    Graceland Comes To Town

    GIG…fyi were honoured to welcome Priscilla Presley to the Elvis Presley launch party in December 2014, with the largest Elvis exhibition in Europe hitting London’s O2 Arena! …fyi provided Elvis’ favourite dishes & themed cocktails for 200 guests on the night, with ‘the King of all burgers’ and ‘Ain’t nothing but a chilli cheese dog’ rocking the night!

    Event Tech Awards

    The Troxy, London was home to the Event Technology Awards in November 2014 and …fyi were onsite to transform the venue and provide event & catering services for 350 attendees! Guests enjoyed canapés on arrival, followed by a 3 course sit down dinner with duck terrine, rump of lamb and saffron potato cakes – all served to please!

    Who Caters to the Caterers?

    GIG…fyi jumped at the chance to head to Newbury Showground last October, to feed 350 hungry guests at the Festival Supplier Awards. 8 chefs were on hand to serve some delicious delights & the award attendees went tweet mad, posting pictures of their meals throughout the night. To top it off, Eat to the Beat won the award for the ‘Best Crew/Artist Catering’ which really was the cherry on top!

    The name says it all; at the 2014 Professional Publishers Association (PPA) Conference organisers wanted a “completely fresh take” on the event. GIG…fyi provided bespoke event services & catering styled perfectly to match the image and branding of the conference. Working with our sister company …e2B… GIG…fyi were able to provide products including Vita Coco and Innocent creating great brand exposure for our clients and lots of fantastic goodies to the conference!

    No, not Beckham, although she is also memorable and inspiring. Marking the launch of Pru Health Vitality Run Series with ambassador Jessica Ennis, and standing at 4.5 metres tall the white runner statue will feature at each of the 8 events.

    What better way to get the launch off to a head start (sorry!) than a breakfast refreshment station complete with 4 fresh healthy choices made in GIG…fyi’s central CPU and transported to site for final preparation and delectation.

    Year of the Horse

    Known as many in the USA as the Pony Car  the Ford Mustang has only been launched in to the global market at the end of 2013. In the lead up to the Beijing Auto Show and in the Year of the Horse Ford have launched their latest model with smarter technology in to the brand orientated Chinese Automotive Market. The launch saw a cocktail party for 300 people and all day hospitality provided by GIG…fyi to fit the brand conscious image of the car at it’s important debut.

    Urban Stand Out

    Expertly designed for urban stand out. The strap line for Jaguar Range Rover’s Evoque says it all & in China with the world largest population a stand out showcase is guaranteed to attract attention.

    With a road show across 4 months GIG…fyi ensured that the Western & Asian fusion fare complimented + provided added value to the road show during 13 city tour.



    Some themes just don’t get old, in the 11th year of the Automotive Logistics China Conference the automotive industry in China continues to boom. With a strong automotive client base GIG are able to fully understand the requirements of the conference – providing a cocktail and buffet reception for 300 people per night over two nights in two different locations in Beijing, one being the famous 798 Art district for Ultima Media.

    Platinum & Pearls

    When you’re celebrating your loved one’s 70th birthday and your company’s 30th there’s no holding back GIG…fyi pulled out all the stops to ensure this seven course ‘Dinner through the Decades’ was a roaring success. With performances from the devilishly funny Globe Girls, classic dishes from the 40’s to the 00’s each with an innovative twist and a hypnotising nitrogen dessert the evening was one that certainly won’t be forgotten in a hurry.

GIG know that Red Bull is so much more than just a drink – so when Red Bull decided that China was next the list GIG…fyi were more than ready to design a catering experience perfectly suited for Red Bull’s official launch into China.

    Launched exclusively in China the new flagship model Citroen DS 5LS hit the streets in late March. The launch party was hosted at the spectacular Château Lafite, Beijing. GIG…fyi were on-site to provide a five course sit down dinner for 750 guests with each course designed to stimulate a specific sense; For sound GIG…fyi served up Tepan sizzling beef rib in black pepper sauce arousing the sense & providing luxury food to emulate the design & authenticity of the new model.

    Each year the National Television Awards, sees TV personalities from across the nation donning their best frocks and suits ready to compete for those coveted awards. In our 13th year of catering at the NTA’s GIG…fyi know that it is all about the atmosphere and the afterparty! Providing a bespoke service which covered pre-show canapés, VIP & Star Treatment Lounges, Green Room & Press Hospitality along with the crew catering for the entire event and of course the famous afterparty!

    adidas Originals© have re-launched the classic Stan Smith trainer in Shanghai. Reportedly the 13th most influential sneaker contract in history, GIG are proud to have supported the re-launch with tailor-made canapés which were an extension of the Stan Smith brand. With a number of influential guests at the event in the fashionable district of Shanghai and GIG provided a ‘classic’ bespoke service.

    Dinner for Jaguar

    Jaguar finished 2013 in style by holding a 4-course gala dinner for 350 guests and VIP’s to celebrate the end of a very successful year for the automotive manufacturer. It was an exciting opportunity for GIG to wine and dine guests and celebrities alike. A quintessentially British themed event space was created as the perfect setting for Jaguar to round off the trading year.

    At GIG…fyi we pride ourselves in our involvement with high end luxury products and companies and working alongside them, including Sephora a visionary beauty-retail concept. A well-established global brand Sephora opened their flagship store in Shanghai, to cement their presence in 47 cities across China. GIG…fyi provided the 400 guests with a time allocated changing theme flying cocktail reception with matched the ambience and styling of the launch. Beautiful store, beautiful cocktails.


    Get in your Soapbox

    The one day event held at Alexandra Palace attracted over 20,000 spectators amped up, ready to watch the racers battle the course at speeds upto 40 MPH! Working for Innovision …fyi provided catering for VIP’s and crew – in 2 areas of the site while our sister company e2B provided all the Red Bull branded equipment and drinks. Crew catering was provided for the 4 days prior to the event while the race course was built plus on SoapBox day a VIP racing themed buffet.

    Festival of Champions

    The Champions Festival signals the exciting climax to the Champions League – held at a different European city each year, it seemed fitting that this years final should take place in London at the Olympic Park.

    We Own The Night

    Kick starting Nike’s London Olympic Anniversary celebration was a 10K race across London. The one day event attracted 27,000 runners, GIG…fyi provided relaxing ‘green room’ space for VIPs and special guests including Paula Radcliffe to spend time in before and after the 10K run serving canapés and champagne to 120 VIPs plus a glass of champagne to all those dedicated runners to celebrate their achievement – 3000 in total, that’s a lot of corks to pop!

    Time for the Wellies

    Download festival is the UK’s premier rock festival attracting some of the biggest acts in ‘rock n roll’. This year …fyi provided event services for 6 different areas, artist catering, hospitality tent, headline compound, guest pods, dressing rooms & guest area concessions. Making use of a retro Airstream caravan, converted into a self-contained kitchen …fyi also provided a bespoke menu for Iron Maiden on their headline night including Nico the drummer’s very own recipe for ‘rock n roll’ ribs.



    Down the Rabbit Hole

    We do love our corporate events! At the beautiful Somerley Estate in Hampshire, Skandia hosted a ‘Family Fun Day’ for 3,000 guests, complete with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Catering for guests, artists and dressing room riders for Eliza Doolittle & the RPJ Band. …fyi kept the guests well fed and hydrated on the hottest weekend of the summer (!) and the crew with a sizzling BBQ buffet complete with Alice in Wonderland themed desserts and drink stations throughout the grounds.

  • Catering Operations Manager

    Global Infusion Group are looking for a Catering Operations Manager to join their GIG…fyi division immediately. You will be working within a fast-paced environment, and work closely with the divisions Director and aid the smooth, efficient operation of the department.


    The individual we are looking for:

    • You will have a relevant catering qualification and at least 2 years’ experience of working in a supervisory role within a catering or event environment. Multi-site experience is preferable.
    • You will have a minimum of level 2 food safety & hygiene certificate.
    • You will have the ability to prioritise effectively, manage a busy diary and varied workload, be self-motivated, work under pressure, have a passion for food, be a strategic thinker, build relationships through strong management skills, be well-organised, articulate, be well groomed, dedicated and hard working with a positive attitude.
    • Applicants must be licenced to drive a minimum of a 3.5 tonne van with less than 6 points on their licence.

  • 7.5 Tonne Driver/Operative

    Global Infusion Group are looking for a 7.5 Tonne Driver/Operative to join their exciting and diverse company.


    The individual we are looking for must be an enthusiastic team-player who enjoys getting their hands dirty, required to join GIG’s busy Chesham based catering company. This is a very hands-on position and the individual must be willing to assist in all manner of tasks. Knowledge of electrics, plumbing and vehicle maintenance is a must.


    Vehicles range in size from small transit to 7.5 tonne kitchen trucks, so applications must hold relevant license & have the ability to confidently & competently drive these vehicles.


    Forklift & PAT test qualifications beneficial but not essential as full training can be given.

    The purpose of this role is to ensure effective utilisation of resources to achieve optimum efficiency in line with quality and safety requirements. This is a middle management role reporting to the Global Operation Directors with the responsibility for all stores associated operations.


    The position requires the Store’s Manager to be flexible with shift patterns and be prepared to work both days and weekends. The functions are broadly split into receiving food goods to storage, storage and asset replenishment, picking and packing catering rigs, maintenance of assets, outbound despatch and overseeing Stores duties.
